There are lots of different things in Frozen that are new-ish, but my dad and I were wondering: what is the actual newest thing in Frozen?
This led me to watch Frozen a lot while taking notes. Some of the things I found included:
Notes from looking into things:
Elastic is actually quite a bit older than I first thought, and could have existed around that time.
Safety bikes were from the 1880s. If you're wondering what a safety bike is, it's quite similar to the modern bike because it was much much safer than the bikes that came before it,
Sunscreen could have been available at that time.
Bottled aloe vera was from 1964, because that was when the technology to have it stop from soiling was made.
Lacquer was much much much older than I expected. From Japan it was ranging all the way to 7,000 BCE.
While pom-poms like the ones on Anna's cloak could have existed at the time, whether or not they were stylish is hard to figure out.
Off the shoulder dresses are quite old and strapless dresses go the 1930s. When I looked at pictures of Anna's dresses it was difficult to tell whether the straps were structural to the dress, or just ornamental.
Paper straws were patented in 1888.
Sunglasses date back to the 1200s, but plastic sunglasses like how Olaf wears are far more recent, being from 1929.
Plastic shovels were not a thing until the 1950s.
Matches were from 1805.
Cupholders in cars were a thing from the 1920s, but there still aren't cupholders in sleds.
After looking through these, bottled aloe is the newest thing in Frozen.
